How Love is Helping Fight Against Pain

In recent years new and more research has been coming out about pain.

A recent study that I just read shocked me but at the same time didnt. The article talks about how Love can be a potential analgesic medicine itself. The love can be between a significant other, friends, family, ect.

Here is the article; http://www.independent.co.uk/news/science/love-really-is-a-drug-ndash-and-it-can-work-a-treat-with-pain-relief-2106101.html

Any opinions or comments on this?

Since J and I have been dating I have noticed that when I am able to stand it, he is able to hold my right hand. My right hand / right arm is the worst of the two arms. This to me provides a little bit of evidence. It will be interesting if more comes out on this.

  1. Fascinating! I completely agree. My pain levels seemed to decrease when I was dating my Ex and now that I'm single again it's harder. Too bad there's not a way to channel this as a treatment option! Thanks for sharing.

  2. The disease is incurable and you need to take medicine for the symptoms in this case the pain. The medicine I take to minimize the pain is Vicodin because it is very efficient.

  3. Rachael,

I dont know if its because we are able to handel it better or if its because they helps us though it. I went through a flair last week and J thankfully helped me through it. One day I couldnt even write and J wrote helped me study for a test that day.

    Jeffery,
Im not refering to medicine. Yes I have a SCS and take medicine to help my pain but J has helped my pain levels as well. I found this article facinating especially for those of us who have chronic pain conditions.

  4. For me I know it was that I was able to handle it better. Due to a strange recommendation by past doctors I never told him about my condition in-depth and since it was long-distance he didn't see me on the bad days. You're lucky to have a great guy like that!
